Lisa Marie Presley husband phantom pregnancy

Lisa Marie Presley's husband is having a phantom pregnancy.

The 40-year-old star - who is rumoured to be expecting twins with music producer Michael Lockwood - says while she is finding her pregnancy easy, her spouse is suffering.

She said: 'He has all my symptoms. He feels like his belly is getting big, and he has the same appetite I have. He's having reflux and was nauseous the other day. It's funny.'

A phantom pregnancy in men is also known as Couvade Syndrome and fathers-to-be can suffer from morning sickness, cramps, back pain, cravings and swollen stomachs.

Lisa Marie - the daughter of late music legend Elvis Presley - says she is only craving fruit.

She said: 'Fruit - it's boring but that's what I want. Any fruit - fruit smoothie, fruit juice - it's good!'

Lisa Marie - who already has two children, 18-year-old daughter Danielle and son Benjamin, 15, from her first marriage to musician Danny Keough - hopes the older kids will help her once the baby arrives.

She added to America's OK! magazine: 'Oh yeah, they will. I'll be at the bar, and they'll be home baby-sitting. Just kidding!

Lisa Marie Presley: “It was time to have another round!

Being the daughter of the king of rock and roll hasn't been an easy life for Lisa Marie Presley. Her recent pregnancy started with press rumours that she was packing on the pounds. Now that the confusion is cleared up, she's excited about being a mom.

"I don't really know what to do with myself when I'm not a mother," Presley said, explaining her decision to have another child. "I just feel like I'm good at it ... I'm all right at it, and my kids are teenagers, so I thought it was time to have another round. And my mother kind of did the same thing with my brother, so, it's just time."

The 40 year old singer already has two teenagers, but is excited at the chance to grow her family. And she's not going it alone: she and her producer husband (Michael Lockwood) have the full support of Lisa Marie's mom, Priscilla.

And if the Presley heir could get some rest, her life would be pretty much perfect. She's working on her third album, excited about the baby, but still has to find time for press events like the PaleyFest, honoring her late father - no wonder she's feeling tired!

  Presley expecting twins

Lisa Marie Presley is pregnant with twins, it has been claimed.

The 40-year-old star - who is expecting her first child with music producer husband Michael Lockwood - recently discovered her double joy and that one of the babies is a boy.

A source is quoted by America's Star magazine as saying: "Michael told me that he and Lisa have been trying to get pregnant for about a year. He also said that they had a sonogram two weeks ago, and one baby opened its legs, and they saw something! Michael was beaming."

Lisa Marie - the daughter of late music legend Elvis Presley - is believed to be around four-and-a-half-months pregnant. She already has two children, 18-year-old daughter Danielle and son Benjamin, 15, from her first marriage to musician Danny Keough, which ended in 1994.

Meanwhile, Lisa Marie's mother Priscilla has revealed she can't wait to meet her new grandchildren. She beamed to America's OK! magazine: "We are all excited. All of our kids are grown up, so this is really exciting news for all of us."

Priscilla - who is set to be a contestant on the sixth series of hit US TV show 'Dancing with the Stars' later this month - also hit out at recent speculation about Lisa Marie's weight gain.

She said: "I think it's cruel what's happening today with people and with celebrities. You want to be a perfectionist and do the best you possibly can and you have parasites out there trying to bring you down. It's a very tough time for people in the limelight today." Priscilla's six-year marriage to Elvis ended in divorce in 1973.

  Lisa Marie: Not Pudgy, Pregnant

Lisa Marie Presley has confirmed, with excitement and yet a great deal of reluctance, that she and husband Michael Lockwood are expecting their first child together this fall.

The 40-year-old Elvis heir announced the impending stork delivery Thursday in a message titled "Confirmation Under the Gun" on her MySpace blog. The post came in response to the spate of unflattering speculation in the media on her rapidly expanding midsection.

"After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant," she wrote.

"Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique a few days ago, they have been like a pack of coyotes circling their prey whilst eerily howling with delight...They couldn't wait to find out if my weight gain was because I was just overeating in which case it would be open season and they can do the old following in her father's sad and unfortunate demise story again or less interesting for them and probably much to their dismay, I could just be pregnant..."

While Presley regrets the circumstances that led to her divulging her happy news, she is nonetheless thrilled that she is expecting.

"It is unfortunate that I couldn't have announced something that is this much of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy under better circumstances," she wrote, going on to further explain her ire.

"Pardon my seething contemptuous tone but ladies, you KNOW if you were pregnant and you felt you were expanding uncontrollably by the moment as a result and the worldwide media started badgering and harassing you for it, plastering you everywhere in an unflattering light, you would be mortified as well."

Lockwood, 46, is a guitarist and music producer who toiled as Presley's musical director and oversaw her 2005 album, Now What. They married in January 2006 in Japan, with ex-husband Danny Keough serving as best man.

Presley has two children from her union with Keough, 18-year-old daughter Riley and 15-year-old son Benjamin. This will be Lockwood's first child.

Presley: Not happy to announce pregnancy

NEW YORK - Lisa Marie Presley wanted to keep her pregnancy private, but felt she had to say something when photos of her looking heavier were ridiculed in the news media.

"After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant," the 40-year-old singer wrote on her MySpace page.

Presley and her husband, music producer Michael Lockwood, are expecting a baby next fall, her spokeswoman, Cindy Guagenti, said Friday. It will be the third child for Presley, who has two children from her marriage to ex-husband Danny Keough.

The announcement comes several days after photos of Presley — daughter of Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla — eating lunch in Los Angeles made the media rounds, with the London newspaper The Daily Mail asking: "Like father like daughter? Bloated Lisa Marie is now the double of dad Elvis."

Guagenti told The Associated Press: "I mean, if you read some of the stories it's like, `she's gonna die like her father,' `her and her mom are in a fight because of her weight' — that's not true at all. It's just awful stuff."

Presley, who was once married to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage too, said she was "seething" over speculation on her weight gain.

"You KNOW if you were pregnant and you felt you were expanding uncontrollably by the moment as a result, and the worldwide media started badgering and harassing you for it, plastering you everywhere in an unflattering light, you would be mortified as well," she said.
